This entry model is the one we went with. It doesn't have a compressor, so to make the frozen treat you need to freeze the removable bowl in your freezer for 24 hours prior to making. So you will need some spare freezer space.

They are also quite noisy, but that didn't phase us.

We have a bit of a soft spot for making Gelato (we actually went on a 3 day gelato making course in Italy a few years back) and we have a partnership with  Bianco Latte as the retail distributor for his artisan gelato and sorbets in Melbourne.

Cuisinart have been very supportive and set us up to resell their machines. Alternatively have a look on ebay for good deals.
