Health Foods

Eating a  good breakfast is one of the top tips from every expert we researched. It's not rocket science, but it's surprising how many students don't start the day with a healthy breakfast.

When we were getting Isabelle's immune system back on track, aaprt from lots of fruit and vegetables we also started making two products for her:

* Probiotic Greek Style Yoghurt

* A superfoods breakfast topping mix

PROBIOTIC YOGHURT

You can buy lots of great probiotic yoghurts from the supermarkets or alternatively products like Yakult, to hep get their digestive system performing well so they are effectively absorbing the nutrients in the foods, juices and supplements. We insttead opted for a rather fun way - Mad Millie's Probiotic Yoghurt kit which makes it REALLY easy to make your own. (Just buy the kit and the milk and you can make 10 litres of yoghurt to either eat:

* Mixed with muesli or other breakfast cereals

* Mixed with the superfoods topping mix

* Made into smoothies

* Frozen to a really yum frozen yoghurt (We used Cuisinart's $90 Ice Cream Maker to turn out some amazing yoghurts)

BREAKFAST TOPPING MIX

We went to the health food store and made up our own breakfast topping mix from:

* LSA Mix (Linseed, Sunflower and Almonds)

* Organic Black Chia Seeds

* Dried Goji Berries

We made our own as we couldn't find a sprinkle mix with these available locally (they have products like this in the UK etc.) and we are now blending and packing it ourselves in our Foodie Feasts company. We've included a 500g pack (two weeks supply) in our $70 Nutrition pack.
